NEW YORK CENTER UPDATE
We celebrate
with the Church worldwide our Holy Father John Paul II’s proclamation
of the Year of the Eucharist – October 2004
to October 2005-announced October 10th in Mexico. One of the great
themes of the Message of Garabandal is the importance of the Eucharist,
“VISIT THE BLESSED SACRAMENT FREQUENTLY”. The Blessed
Mother said, “My Son waits for you in the tabernacle night
and day.” St. Michael instructed the visionary Conchita before
receiving Holy Communion to “think of who you are about to
receive” and to say an act of contrition. He told her to recite
the prayer Soul of Christ (the Anima Christi) following reception
of Holy Communion.
Try to make visits to the Blessed Sacrament part of your prayer-life
whether you make a short personal visit or participate in Perpetual
or Nocturnal Adoration at your local church. Consider a Year
of the Eucharist pilgrimage for your family or group to
the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC

or the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament at Our Lady of the Angels
Monastery, home of Mother Angelica and the Poor Clare Nuns in Hanceville,

or a shrine in your locality. Remember, Jesus is waiting for you,
He will listen to you and He will give you His peace .

MAKING
THE MESSAGE KNOWN
In 2004, the New York Center began to develop and distribute Garabandal
Message Theme Postcards, following a discussion with the visionary
Conchita during which she asked that the Workers of Our Lady of
Mount Carmel de Garabandal concentrate especially on the Message
of Garabandal. The purpose of these 6x9 theme cards is to encourage
thoughtful reflection on the Message and its application to each
individual life. The themes used were: Think of the Passion of Jesus,
But First You Must Lead Good Lives and Visit the Blessed Sacrament
Frequently. To date almost 400,000 cards have been mailed across
America putting the Message of Garabandal into the hands of Catholics
in every state. Many are now visiting our website and learning more
about the apparitions.
GARABANDAL.US
The website continues the work of the New York Center providing
books and videos to view or print off gratis. There are no plans
to reprint our rapidly dwindling inventory of hardcopy books, those
who want one of the remaining titles in inventory should complete
our order form (www.garabandal.us/order_form.html)
and mail it promptly. The Message of Garabandal video is viewed
daily in English and Spanish, recently the video has been viewed
in Russian, Tamil, Korean, French, Japanese and Polish. There is
no better explanation of the coming Warning and Miracle than that
given by Conchita in the 32 minute interview, Garabandal-After the
Visions (www.garabandal.us/prophecies.html).
The most popular downloaded book continues to be Our Lady Comes
to Garabandal by Fr. Joseph A. Pelletier A.A. (www.garabandal.us/pdfs/dw_our_lady_comes.pdf).
Visits to the Spanish site are increasing with many visitors coming
from Mexico. This website, professionally serviced and secured is
our most valuable asset to bring the Message and Events of Garabandal
free around the world.
OUR LADY’S KISS
Information on Our Lady’s Kiss, the small medal containing
a piece of Conchita’s missal kissed by Our Lady at Garabandal
is available by clicking on the Joey’s Message link and then
clicking on the entry from November 13, 2003
(www.garabandal.us/news_11_13.html). Please read the information
first, then if you wish to receive a medal, follow the instructions
at the bottom of the page. If you are unable to print off and mail
in the form, send an email to joey@garabandalny.org requesting Our
Lady’s Kiss and stating your name, address, city, state, country
and zip code. Please allow six weeks for delivery.

Incoming emails to joey@garabandalny.org
are read on a regular basis with all prayer intentions noted. Replies
are simply impossible. Registration on our email list grows daily
and numbers in the tens of thousands. Our webmaster recently made
registering simpler to accommodate various types of computers. We
will not abuse the privilege of your confidence. This technology
is used solely for the spread of the Message of Garabandal and the
appropriate information on the coming Warning and Miracle.
THE WORLDWIDE WORK
OF THE CENTER
While we are excited about the growing spread of the Garabandal
Message across America, we remain faithful to our commitment to
send leaflets and holy cards, anywhere, gratis to spread
Our Lady’s Message. Once active Centers around the world have
grown silent with the passing or aging of their leadership but because
of their past efforts new promoters have stepped forward to continue
to distribute this gratis material. In 2004, leaflets and holy cards
were sent to New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Japan, Australia, Ireland,
Scotland, and Canada.
During the summer, materials in Spanish went to Argentina, Chile,
Columbia and Peru in South America and also Mexico where the Eucharistic
Congress in Guadalajara is now underway. We also continue to receive
requests for materials from Spain. Spanish language books are now
out of stock, but remain available to be printed off the website

We received a request for prayers from a parish priest in Kuwait,
whose location we will not publish, who requests prayers for his
people and all those suffering in that troubled part of the world.
We had previously heard from a priest in Pakistan who requested
prayers for the same intention. Garabandal leaflets and holy cards
in French went to Garabandal promoters along the Ivory Coast of
Africa. Please pray for the safety of our couriers into China and
remember our promoters in Uganda who ask for prayers for their country
and for those suffering in the bordering country of the Sudan.
All the good work mentioned is made possible by the widow’s
mite donations of many generous Americans and the time of a few
remaining volunteer Workers at the New York Center. We are grateful
to God, to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, to the Workers throughout the
world, and to you our Union of Prayer members who help us to continue
to live and spread the Message of Garabandal +++
